100th World Mission Sunday, 18 October. This is the Pope's annual appeal for the work of overseas mission and missionaries, and one of three universal Church collections each year. The theme for 2026 is "One in Christ, United in Mission". The collection takes place this weekend at all Masses. More at missio.ie.
Parish List of the Dead 2026. As November approaches, parishioners are invited to add their beloved dead to the Parish List of the Dead. Envelopes are in the churches and in boxes of Parish Envelopes, or write "Parish List of the Dead" on a plain envelope with your name, address and list of names.
Mass of Memory, Friday 6 November, 7:30pm, St Colmcille's Church, for the parishioners buried since this time last year. Their families are invited, and so are parishioners who lost loved ones whose funerals were held elsewhere.

Fr Willie Doyle Tribunal. The Public Concluding Session of the diocesan tribunal for the cause of canonisation of Fr Willie Doyle, the Irish Jesuit priest, was set for after Vespers at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, on Sunday 18 October at 4pm. The parish notice says it is the first diocesan tribunal to conclude in Ireland in over forty years.
