Trinity refused loans in 2000 and 2011. Kells asks for a permanent return home, not a loan.
Trinity
Pieces about Trinity College and the manuscript it holds.
What Trinity College Dublin says and does about the Book of Kells. These pieces follow how the manuscript is displayed, ticketed, moved and cared for in Dublin, and what Trinity has told Kells over the years. We quote Trinity's own statements and link the sources. Nothing has been agreed about a return. Made in Kells holds that the Book was made in Kells and should come home for good.
