Bank Holiday Monday, 26 October. There is one Mass in Kells today, at 11am, instead of the usual 10am.
Parish List of the Dead 2026. Parishioners can still add their beloved dead to the list. Envelopes are in the churches and in boxes of Parish Envelopes, or write "Parish List of the Dead" on a plain envelope with your name, address and the names. Return it to the Parochial House or office, or to the collection at weekend Masses. The list will be remembered at the Saturday 31 October vigil Mass and at the All Saints Masses on Sunday 1 November in Kells and Girley.
Mass of Memory, Friday 6 November, 7:30pm, St Colmcille's Church, for the parishioners buried since this time last year. Their families are invited, and so are parishioners who lost loved ones whose funerals were held elsewhere.
Relic of St Thérèse of Lisieux. The Knights of Columbanus, the Sweeney family and the Knights of St Thérèse will bring the relic to Kells church for the weekend Masses on 7 and 8 November. All are welcome.
Parochial House. The Diocese intends to apply for planning permission to develop the Parochial House. A site notice is up at the house, and a newspaper notice is in the latest Meath Chronicle.
Kells Musical and Dramatic Society '76 marks its 50th birthday with a Golden Ball, Saturday 31 October, 7:30pm, Headfort Arms Hotel. Tickets are €60 from any committee member, the Headfort Arms Hotel and Brian Curran's Castle Elegance shop.
World Youth Day Seoul, 27 July to 10 August 2027. The Meath diocesan group is open to young Catholics aged 19 to 35, and the full cost is €2,250. Seats are limited. Contact Fr Mark or meathyouth@gmail.com.
October is the month of the Holy Rosary and of the Church's missions, and Pope Leo has asked that the daily Rosary be offered for peace.
